Proverbs for doing Life
'For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.' Proverbs 5:3-4
Beware of the strange woman’s trap? “What does that even mean?”, you might ask. Well the lips of a strange woman are those things that would seek to draw us away from the love of the Father and the safety of fellowship of the saints.
They include anger, bitterness, the pursuit of success to the detriment of the worship Christ, pride, lust, endless pursuit and acquisition of money and material possessions and whatever else we know tempts us away.
Our proverbs reminds us to beware of these things and be careful not to fall into their traps. For though the pleasures gained seem to be good initially, the end they spell is disastrous. Best not to dabble at all!
Father thank You for Your enabling grace given to me that is sufficient for me to live an overcoming life in Christ Jesus. I remain and abide with you this day and forever, Amen!
